Taklamakan takes its name from the great desert of Central Asia, a sea of ever-shifting dunes along the ancient spice routes. Stéphane Humbert Lucas tells it as a journey: the meeting between the precious raw materials of India and the smoky warmth of the resins that the caravans carried towards the West. It is a perfume as hot and dry as the desert air, deep and powerful, with a powdery softness that makes it surprisingly comfortable.

How It Evolves on Skin

The opening is luminous: Calabrian bergamot and neroli light up osmanthus, a flower with a velvety, almost apricot-like scent. In the heart the woods emerge: Chinese cedar, dry and noble, and a dark, earthy Indian patchouli. The base is the true protagonist: a smoky vanilla intertwines with cistus and benzoin, warm balsamic resins, while musk softens the trail into a powdery veil that lingers on the skin.
